A common question I get asked is "I'm getting ready to update my kitchen. What should I do? " Well, the first thing I tell them is go look at what is going into Multi Million Dollar homes right now. It will be in the average home in less 3 years. Think back to wine coolers, monster cooktops...
Want a quick fix to a dated kitchen? Install the latest "got to have it" gadget for that "Wow Factor" as we Realtors love to say . The "Wow Factor" is defined as something special and so fabulous it makes everyone jealous and wanting one too.
Pot filler faucets are my recommendation as the next "got to have it gadget". It will be added to the list of things that are expected in our 2009 kitchens.
Why? Well because every Million Dollar and above home has one right now. "Pot Fillers eliminate half the work when it comes to transporting water to and from a cooktop. Once a pot filler faucet is installed above your cooktop, you never have to carry a pot full of water to the stove. This saves wear and tear on your hands, wrists, arms and back. If you measure the amount of water you might boil to make a large pot of pasta, you might be surprised to discover the added pounds from the sink to the cooktop. When you are cooking during large family events or holiday celebrations, the last thing you should be doing is wasting energy carrying water around your kitchen."
