YOU'RE INVITED TO DOZER DAY 2008!
What is DOZER DAY?
Dozer Day is a kid-friendly fair-like event where the rides are dozers, dump trucks and other heavy equipment. The event is organized by the Nutter Foundation and benefits the Parks Foundation. With a professional, licensed driver at their side, kids have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to drive a big yellow bulldozer, backhoe, loader or other piece of heavy equipment. It's a dream come true for kids--and great fun for the whole family!
What can the whole family do at Dozer Day?
Dozer Day is a fun event for the entire family. For grown-ups, a diamond dig and a tool dig are popular as is a picnic in the park and KUPL live on site. For kids of all ages, riding all kinds of equipment, panning for treasures, tire and pipe crawls and collecting stickers for the hard hats are top choices. Families can also look and climb over a collection of antique equipment , watch how curbs are made or even watch a concrete pumper in action. Adults may also participate in the Dozer Rodeo. A Big Hauler takes visitors around the entire site. Washington State Patrol, local fire departments, S.W.A.T. and Waste Connections all plan to bring equipment displays. Check out the KUPL.com and enter key word Dozer Day to learn more about the growing number of attractions for 2008!

We have to apologize in advance to our daughter, Allison, who is a manager at Starbucks ... but we have found a new favorite place for coffee called Caffe Piccolo Paradiso.
Caffe Piccolo Paradiso is a charming Italian café that positions itself as a place "... where coffee is an experience." You will notice it is different from the moment you step through the front door. The Tuscan inspired décor is warm, comfortable and inviting, with artfully faux-finished aged stucco walls. You will find a variety of artwork and accessories, including a famous photograph playfully recreated in front of the store. You will find a variety of places to sit from small tables in the front windows where you can sit peacefully watching the passers-by ... or a large table closer to the counter that will accommodate a small group of friends, clients or coworkers.
The helpful, friendly staff will cheerfully make your favorite coffee drink to order. The flavor of the coffee and other ingredients used at Caffe Piccolo Paradiso truly set them apart. Other beverage choices include tea, steamers, Italian sodas, San Pellegrino, and a selection of wines.
Caffe Piccolo Paradiso also has a limited food selection including scones, tarts, croissants, cookies, biscotti, breakfast sandwiches, focaccia pizza, sandwiches and Panini. Prices are very reasonable, with coffee prices ranging from $1.25 to $3.60 per drink and meals ranging from $4.00 to $7.00.
If you love coffee, you owe it to yourself to check out Caffee Piccolo Paradiso. It is located at 309 NE Birch St in Camas. The phone number is (360) 834-7044.
