I have been nominated and now awarded the esteemed honor of St. Clair REALTOR OF THE YEAR 2010!!!!!

I am very involved in my job because I truly love what I do! I am on the board for the St. Clair Association of Realtors as VICE PRESIDENT. Within that board, I am Relay for Life Chair, on Awards/Entertainment Committee. I am also on the Caravan Committee and set those up twice a year. I am a certified Buyer's Representative and thoroughly enjoy helping to find the home of my client's dreams!

My heart is in the BPW, Business and Professional Women's Club! I was the Alabama state winner for the Virginia Allen Young Careerist Program for 2008. With this title, I attended the National conference in Atlanta and competed for the National title. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my adult life! I learned so much about myself and met some incredible women from around the country! With the Alabama state title, I was responsible for presenting scholarship awards for our State winners and the winners from my town. It was so wonderful to watch these girls receive money to further their education! Also, I am now involved in BPW/Girl Scout's Leadership conference where I will be hosting 2 workshops; one on Interview Tips/Dress for Success and the other on Writing a Letter to a Congressman. This conference is in November and I'm really looking forward to preparing and educating these young girls for life after high school.

I also work with the Library Guild, and Imagination Library as the Back-up Grants Writer, which has been quite interesting and educational. I am currently working on a proposal to bring a career development center to our town to be housed in our, soon to be built, new library. It has been fun and stressful! Wouldn't trade it for the world though.

The Civic Center has become one of the most enjoyable spots for residents to visit. The gym and walking track are available for exercise. Classes such as square dancing, aerobics for all ages, karate, arts and crafts are held here. The Civic Center is excellent for banquets and can host large city and county meetings. The grounds include a picnic area, playground for children (with splash pad coming soon), walking trail, fishing and boat launch.

The popular B.A.S.S. Masters Classic fishing tournament which includes the top professional bass fisherman in the world has been hosted here on numerous occasions. We always have numerous fishing tournaments going on each and every weekend, both day and night.

If you love golf, you'll love Pell City. Pine Harbor and the Pell City Golf Course are two attractive courses for your golfing pleasure. There are many others within driving distance that are sure to impress you as well.
