The Filth You Can Find in a Walmart Parking Lot
Unfortunately, litter is a common eye-sore wherever people go. Some people discard their trash along the highways, residential streets, and public areas of communities instead of taking it to the nearest trash can or dumpster. Why is this?
Trash in public spaces is so commonplace, I think it generally goes unnoticed. It is not unusual to see a squashed aluminum can or abandoned fast food drinking cup in a busy parking lot. But what I saw today in the parking lot of my local Walmart is just disgusting.
While walking from my car to the entrance of Walmart, I passed an empty parking space with a rolled up diaper that had obviously been run over...as its contents (need I say) were partially squeezed out on the asphalt.
Let's face it. Dirty diapers stink and no one wants to carry one around for any length of time. But is there (was there) no other option but to discard the dirty diaper in a parking lot busy with vehicle and foot traffic?
To the individual who dropped the filthy burdensome load, did you not have an extra bag you could have put the poopy diaper in? Was it too difficult to locate a trash can in the parking lot or at the front entrance of Walmart?
Aside from being unsightly, the abandoned diaper full of waste in the Walmart parking lot is a health hazard. It wouldn't be too difficult for an unobservant child (or any unobservant or distracted person) to accidently step on the discarded waste and track it everywhere. Some really young children might even touch it or pick it up out of curiosity! How disgusting is that?
How much trouble can it be to take one's garbage to a trash can? I suppose it all boils down to how someone is raised.
What filthy items have you spotted in your local Walmart parking lot?
