Millionaire's Row - San Francisco CA

Millionaire's Billionaire's Row - San Francisco CA

PHA's newest client lives on Broadway in San Francisco, CA... what's notable about this particular moving organizing project is the location. Outer Broadway has a long history as millionaire's billionaire's row!

Brick StepsPHA received the referral for this project from a past client.. over 75% of my business comes from client referrals. WOW... I truly am blessed!

All of the packing, unpacking, utility transfers, change of address notifications etc. will all be done while the family is on vacation for three weeks in Italy & London. Upon their return, they will go straight to the rental where they will live for the next two years!

While I am not able to share an address with you, the picture shows the charming brick lower staircase to the street (there is an additional staircase that leads up to the front door). This client is a young couple with an 11-month old baby girl and we will be moving them into a temporary rental house while this property gets gutted and re-built from its current three stories to four stories. The visual views from this property location are AMAZING.

PHA is truly grateful for the referral and is looking forward to handling whatever needs to be done for a successful move...

To learn more about this charming part of town, here is a link to an article written in the Nob Hill Gazette giving some history of millionaire's billionaire's row.... enjoy!

Water Cisterns in San Francisco

Water Cisterns in San Francisco

Interesting article popped up on "My Yahoo" page... answering a question I've had but didn't know who to ask to get the answer!!

And, here it is - very nicely explained by the SFFD... thanks, Yahoo.

As a professional moving organizer, I will now be more aware of parking near these circles so I don't get in the way in case of an emergency situation that would require the use of an underground water tank...

Just an fyi...some of these circles are not so large; the circle at the top of Dolores Street at 24th street is more of a half circle that is close to the sidewalk... wonder if the cars who park there know what's underneath?

Happy Moving & Organizing everyone!

Street Food in San Francisco, CA

Street Food in San Francisco, CA

Street Food San FranciscoStreet food is all the rage and we, here in San Francisco, are about to get a Street Food Park!! It's location, at 246 11th Street in SOMA, is on a funky triangle with Best Buy across Division Street on the West and Costco across 11th Street on the East.

A benefit is that this is probably the only location in San Francisco where parking will NOT be an issue!!

In a recent article in the SF Examiner, we are introduced to Carlos Muela, who is the visionary behind this venture... and with amenities such as a beer garden, seating for 200, permanent rest rooms, and rotating trucks open until Midnight... this SF professional moving organizer is very excited for opening day!!

A Winter's Day in the Mission District, San Francisco

A Winter's Day in the Mission District, San Francisco

Mission District - Winter 2012

Cloudy, gloomy, rainy and grey... just another winter's day

but that's ok

I know the sunshine will be back my way...

maybe tomorrow

or perhaps the next day

Photo taken at the corner of Dolores St and 14th Street... my house is on the left, barely noticable behind the tree...

Am I Lucky or What!?!

Am I Lucky or What!?!

I am absolutely terrible when it comes to taking pictures when I'm on a job... I walk in the door and am so focused on getting the job at hand done, I completely forget to get good before and after pictures...

Today was moving day... a couple in the midst of a divorce had sold their $3+million dollar home in San Francisco's tony Pacific Heights neighborhood and so most items (carefully packed by PHA and color-coded between his, hers, and community property) were going into storage. Still other items were tagged for donations and those to be sold by an antique dealer.

However, there were 22 boxes of her personal items to be moved to their Sonoma County residence (that is also a multi-million dollar property currently on market) for her to use and enjoy until that property is sold.

During the course of the move, located within a winding stairwell, was a very large, very heavy, steel French-style, clock face that needed to be removed and delivered to a third party.... and, I was only informed of this task at 10am this morning!! (I'll be doing a separate post on the movers....they deserve all the kudos they get!).

Do I take pictures of this challenging task? No.

Dalton SonomaBut, I get up to Sonoma with my crew member Suzanne, walk out onto the back deck and just could'nt resist... the home and grounds are beautiful... these pictures don't even come close to doing the property justice.

While the interior is not huge, it is so well appointed that it is more than quite comfortable.

Am I luck or what ???? Yes, I am. I get to work in beautiful properties both in the City of San Francisco and in Wine Country!!

Organizing moves and helping people through the moving process is what I do... and, more importantly what I love to do!

Here's two more pictures of the Sonoma residence...on the left is the Dining Room and on the right is the Family Room which is right off the kitchen... all have doors leading onto the deck and beautiful lap pool. I missed a shot of the lake which is below the pool...
