http://babette.org/district/associations.html. The last few years have seen tremendous growth in the number of new projects being built and the number of new people moving into the area. Like all of the neighborhoods in Philadelphia, Graduate Hospital is very walkable. Communities develop from the nurturing that the residents do on a daily basis. This can take many forms. The simplest of which is the old adage, know your neighbor. Get to know the people who live on your block and when situations arise everyone is in a better position to deal with them. This Saturday there is an opportunity for everyone to become involved in a City wide cleanup day. If you are not directly volunteering in your neighborhood, talk to your immediate neighbors in the next couple of days and commit to cleaning up your block. Everyone who lives in Graduate Hospital has a self interest in living on a clean block. By actively participating everyone who becomes involved will start to feel much better about where they live. Once this foundation has been laid other initiatives will follow. Have a great Day and enjoy your community.
