Although I do not live anywhere near the oil rig that exploded off Louisiana, and Mississippi (and other states near there), I was watching this unfold on television. It is a tragedy of huge proportions. First there was the death of the workers on that rig. And, now the oil is leaking out of control. I get the feeling that BP Petroleum and our government really does not know how to fix this problem. The birds are already showing up covered in oil. The environment is totally at risk there and so are many people's livelihoods. There may also be an impact on shipping in that area. I am hearing that in my neck of the woods, restaurants are expecting shortages of certain fish products. The list goes on and on. Here in NJ, they were recently talking about putting up oil rigs off the coast. We really have to know the consequences before we start drilling. I think often we dive into things that we don't know how to fix sometimes. I just want to say that my heart goes out to the people in that region. I wish you good luck, and I hope that things do get better for you as quickly as possible.
I don't know about you, but I am really tired of Winter this year. I don't feel like doing anything. Usually nothing stops me from doing anything. But, I don't like being cold, and all bundled up. I am really hoping that I am not the only one that feels this way. And, although the Spring market has started, I was wondering if more people will be motivated to buy or sell. What do you think?

There are new signs that have gone up on Union Hill Road in Manalapan that if you go above speed limit, there is mandatory court appearance required. I have seen a number of people pulled over. So I just wanted to inform you of what's going on if you are driving in that area. MAKE SURE YOU WATCH YOUR SPEEDOMETER WHILE DRIVING ON UNION HILL ROAD. I hope this information helps you drive carefully and avoid a speeding ticket and court appearance.
Best Wishes,
Phyllis Katz, Weichert Realtors, 455 Route 9 South, Manalapan, NJ 07726
I know that Congress and the President want to come up with universal health care. And, true it is very important for people to have coverage. But another tax? Even subsidized health care benefits cost you money. I don't know anyone anymore who has totally free coverage. So you pay something up front to have the coverage, then there are deductibles that you have to pay, and not everything is covered. Now on top of that, we may have to pay an additional tax. What do you think of this? I value your comments.
