Join us for a day of food, fun and sales in Historic Fairhaven!
I can smell the barbecue and all the fixins now. Stop by an enjoy a menu derived for the Pacific Northwest: Cooked by fishermen who know the best barbecuing techniques-- Pacific Northwest King Salmon, plus delicious sides, like coleslaw, corn-on-the-cob, bread, dessert and a beverage. For the little ones, we will have a separate hot dog meal available.

Saturday, September 19 || 1-4pm || $12 per person for the salmon bbq meal and a kids' hot dog meal sold separately.
Fairhaven was famous for this event in the 1980s, has a heritage as once the "salmon canning center of the west coast" and now this BBQ is a regular September celebration for the community! Whether you're a resident, neighbor or a visitor, come to the Village Green for the day.
In addition, make sure you wander the historic streets for the 'One Day District-wide Sidewalk Sale" for some great bargains on books, clothes, shoes, pottery, crafts, housewares, garden items... the list of what's available in the district is endless! While you're here, discover new shops as well as some that have been here for a long time but you've not had a chance to experience, and the many great restaurant options in the neighborhood! Do I dare say.... Is is too early for some Christmas shopping??
Don't forget you can always count on great music and other fun in Historic Fairhaven!
Tonight is cooling off to be an excellent evening for a night out on the Village Green in Historic Fairhaven for the Outdoor Cinema.

The festivities begin at 8pm with the Pennystinkers playing music, while the crowds arrive for the movie. You can order pizza for delivery to the Village Green from Fairhaven Pizza or enjoy Colophon ice cream or Serena's gelato to cool you off.
The movie tonight, Young Frankenstein, is a classic! Be sure to get there early for a good seat. Bring a blanket to lounge in the grass or a lawn chair for along side the green.
Hope to see you there on the Village Green in Historic Fairhaven.
The August issue of Sunset Magazine features Bellingham, WA as an excellent place to spend a day, weekend or lifetime.
The excellent article walks you through an assortment of things to do featuring locally owned businesses that most locals would agree are great places to go. The Historic Fairhaven District, Quel Fromage, Boulevard Park, the Farmers Market, Mallards Ice Cream and the Little Cheerful Cafe to name a few.

Hiking, biking and boating are mentioned, among all the eating, as a few of the many outdoor activities you can enjoy which includes a sunset cruise on my friend, Captain Todd's catamaran the Gato Verde.

Centrally located in Bellingham on the Interurban trail, the Pacific Trails Condominiums are townhouse style units with 32 residential condominiums in a complex that was built in 1993. The trail takes you either to the upscale Barkley Village with the Haggens Grocery store, Starbucks, dining and other shops or directly into downtown Bellingham. It is a nice walk or bike ride in either direction.
This complex is a popular project because of the townhouse style with a single car garage, dead end street and location on the trail. Units are either 2 or 3 bedrooms with a gas fireplace, vaulted ceiling, dining area and patios off the main living space. Currently there is one 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath unit for sale at $198,000 featuring maple laminate floors, custom painted walls, gas fireplace and ceramic tile.
The small, quaint complex in Bellingham is maintained well by the association and makes a great investment whether owner occupied or rented.
