HOW TO MEASURE YOUR WORTH IN TODAY'S TEKNO ARENA - Where are those Activerain points?

Dollars, euros, drachmas, rupees, liras, pounds, posadas, guilders, yen, the Brazilian real.

Now we talk in terms of Activerain points, the true sign of one's value. How much time do you set aside each week to bank Activerain points (like a savings account or an I.R.A.)? Answering blogs, creating blogs, searching and recruiting associates, joining groups and forming groups, joining associations and forming associations - all in pursuit of the elusive Activerain points and thereby embellishing our Activerain portfolio. It takes a major investment (by the case) in Visine so one does not appear to have spent the evening before in the local pub!

Networking equals Activerain points. The pressure to perform is really on. In prehistoric times, back in the caveman days, you had hunters and gatherers. In the 21st century, we've become Activerain point agrarians.

Life is driven at sunrise preparing for and engineering the harvest of Activerain points. Strategies are formed, plans are made; all we need do now is execute. Points, points, points, points. Unfortunately, at about 9 a.m. our activities are redirected to making that stinkin' dollar! I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go! Arriving on the job, the first order of business is a comparative of our current Activerain point status. One's greatness is measured by AR points! This positions oneself in the sales rotation - who gets the first customer. Lunch-hour is determined by the number of new associations recorded. Who leaves early is determined by the number of invitations posted during the business day (15-minute intervals based on descending number of invitations).

Once arriving at home, boot-up the ol' computer and get your update and point standing. This will determine if you can have dinner and social time with family. Taking care of family and living obligations are very important, as long as they don't interfere with AR time. From 10 p.m. till ???, is time devoted to serious, inspirational approaches to improve one's networking status and, most importantly, "how many points did I get today!" What is my grand total, what is my ranking, am I the top in my area, my state, my country, my world? Then, and only then, may we seek the refuse of the bedroom, providing the automatic coffeemaker is set for 5 a.m. Without this kind of discipline, participation in AR is not acceptable. But wait a minute, I just need to check one more thing on my AR Network, please.

Five W's - The World Wide Web We Weave

I represent a custom home builder located in Pike County, PA, gateway to the Poconos. We specialize in vacation and primary homes, and are recognized as the first green builder in Pike County to introduce a line of competitively priced homes featuring green building technologies.

I am looking for feedback about sales techniques as they apply to the Internet, and the role of the modern day Salesperson. Without doubt we are in the information age where anything we want to know is available with a few key strokes of our fingers and the help of our friend "Google."

The current trend in the real estate and custom home building market is to get our product out there to as many markets as we can with the tools of the Internet and by developing elaborate product information loaded websites by which we all compete with one another. The secrets to successful sales include our being knowledgeable about our product and our ability to gather information about our customer. As we distribute our product information on "the world wide web we weave" (the Internet), so much information is being provided before the Salesperson has one on one personal contact with a potential client.

I have listened to both sides of the discussion regarding what type of website produces the best results in terms of actual sales. There is the argument that if all the product information is not available on a website by a few keystrokes, then a potential client simply moves on to the next website that does provide full product information. And then there is the argument that if all the information is provided, we eliminate the need for a potential client to contact us with questions about our product.

How is the call to action achieved in this "world wide web we weave?" I would like to hear your opinions and suggestions regarding scenarios that have produced positive results for you.

Communities in Pike and Wayne Counties, PA

Covered Bridge - Woodledge Village

Pike County PA, and its neighboring Wayne County, PA, have many wonderful residential communities. These communities vary in their make-up, some being full amenity, recreation oriented communities and others being predominantly residential, but private. The strength of the communities are uniform planned unit development. They protect by restriction a homogenous plan to develop comparable homes within their individual atmosphere. Usually, single family residential requirements by restrictive covenant helps to maintain a balance of development. Most communities, unless specifically designated, are typically single family residential, ie, no recreational vehicles allowed to exist on community homesites. Some communities have set up an area where property owners can store or use community identified facilities as an RV park or campground, The Hideout for one. Consequently, over the last 40 years many private communities have been structured and modified to appeal to whatever situations best fits the needs of residents. There's a community for every future homeowner's preference.

Roamingwood Lake, The Hideout

The Hideout Golf Course

By joining together as a group, individual homeowners can share the benefit of magnificent natural, or man-made, resources in the way of lakes, golf courses, swimming pools, tennis courts, ski areas, nature trails, horseback riding, snowmobiling, to name just a few. Private communities direct their resources to accomodate the valued amenities to service and support the lifestyle sought by their membership. This can be more effective than dealing with the layered forms of government in directing maintenance dollars to support such services.
