Did you or your client receive a letter from Chase bank offering you $10,000 or more to perform a short sale? Chase, Wells Fargo, and more recently Bank of America have been mailing homeowners offering them large incnetives in the form of relocation assistance in order to perform a short sale.
The reason for these short sale incentive offers is that banks are finally realizing that they are better off performing short sales instead of going to forelcosue. This is especially the case in states such as Florida, where the avergage foreclosure proceeding takes 619 days.
