Feng Shui Long Island, Inc. and Feng Shui Manhattan, Inc. have always been involved with community projects and volunteering when able to. The love for motivating and inspiring others is a core key element to Feng Shui. This past year I have been consulting and personal training with many clients that have been recovering or going through treatments for Leukemia and Lymphoma. To honor them and their family members I have recently teamed up with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training for the Grand Canyon Hike for a cure in May of 2012.
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support; I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
At no set amount, Ms. Cerrano asks for your help and if you can please make a donation in support of her efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures. You can donate $10, $15, $20 or up, it's what you feel comfortable with.

Quicky Feng Shui tips for your Retail Front Entrance by Feng Shui Long Island
Feng Shui New York City Consultant Laura Cerrano was in Macy's Merchandising Group in NYC today educating employees about Feng Shui. Upon entering into the meeting area, Ms. Cerrano noticed the front entrance to the retail Merchandising section of Macy's.
The entire front entrance was red, with a silk Orchid plant and glass round table. Perfect simple Feng Shui example!!

Feng Shui for Fertility by Feng Shui Long Island and Manhattan
Many of you may recall The Story of Baby Rose and the most recent Queens NY couple having TWINS! Fertility can be a very delicate topic especially when you wish to have a baby and for what ever reason the Universe is not providing.
Before putting the blame on "others" take a step back and review yourself. This meaning, many of times with infertility from a spiritual and Feng Shui perspective blockages are to blame, emotional energetic blockages. This can stem from unresolved issues such as jealousy, resentment, being stressed, anxiety, hearing the same negative news, lacking a support system and even the type of images, colors and placement of furniture in your home or apartment.

Beautiful Butterflies by Feng Shui Long Island
This video still amazes me with how many butterfly's appeared in 2010 and for the year of 2011, it seemed hardly any migrated from Mexico. I hope the year of 2012 brings an abundance of Monarch Butterflies :)

I felt very lucky to have come across your website this past year. I was looking for a Feng Shui consultant to enhance the energy of my home. Debbie and I met Laura at a health fair and were immediately attracted to her personality and ‘mindful’ presentation of materials – we instantly asked her to consider speaking at our Cancer Wellness Retreat with confidence that our guests would be as enamored with this subject as we were.
When Laura learned what Strength for Life was about the wheels were in motion and she thought that a sage smudging would be an excellent addition to our weekend. A few of the guests were currently undergoing chemotherapy and Laura suggested they smudge after each therapy session. Laura demonstrated the proper protocol for a smudging – and each guest was given a supply of white sage to perform the ritual at home. At the conclusion of the smudging she told them that with a pure intention – there is no wrong way, alleviating any fear of trying a smudging on their own.
Laura put together packets of information for each guest explaining the Bagua, the use of colors, placement, design, simple Feng Shui tips and information on the ‘5 Element Theory’ etc.
The ‘aha- moments’ continued for many, and with each ‘potential problem area that we exposed Laura had a quick solution giving peace of mind to all. The information and presentation was above and beyond what we hoped – our sincere thanks for adding this dimension to our retreat.
