Outside in Provincetown, MA you can watch some of the most spectacular sunsets I have ever seen. It's a time there where the day slows down and people stop to watch the beauty of another day coming to an end.
For many it is also a time for preparing for the nightlife there...of which there is a wonderful assortment of things to do. Lily Tomlin was there for a show during our stay.
We saw several artists capturing the beauty with all different medias from pastels to oils. Each one truly was a work of art....almost as much as nature itself.

Your Own Private Beach...and BLUE Water in Cape Cod
We decided to stay in N. Truro at the East Harbou
r Motel and Cottages. They are right on a private beach and along the Shuttle route to Provincetown. I have to say after staying there I'd be back in a heartbeat, not only for the absolutely beautiful surroundings and accommodations but also because the people who ran it were WONDERFUL.
Your rooms had everything you could possibly need and you couldn't choose a better location. Just when I thought Customer Service had died, I met the lovely woman who runs this place. I'll be back next year-book early!

So here are the first of a few posts about New York Feng Shui Consultants in Cape Cod. As much as we love New York, the Cape is a wonderful place to go for fun, energy and a respite.
Commercial Street spans almost 4 miles and allows for parking, cars and LOTS of pedestrians. We noticed a complete absence of car honking. We walked from one end to the other and didn't hear it once. We did hear laughter, music and kindness in people's voices.
One thing I DID notice about Provincetown: People are friendly and often stopped to speak to Laura and I. When they asked what we did and we said Feng Shui, there was not one person who didn't know exactly what it was. In fact, many of them practiced it themselves!

New York Feng Shui and The Evil Eye by Feng Shui Consultant Carole Provenzale, NY Feng Shui ConsultantIn working with Feng Shui in New York for so many years, I have had clients ask me about my knowledge and understanding of what is known as "The Evil Eye." Some of my Feng Shui clients actually feel that they have been cursed as they have had so much bad luck or difficulties in their lives.
In Feng Shui School, the Evil Eye was discussed only briefly. As Feng Shui Consultants we were taught that the use of Peacock Feathers helps to dispel any negative energy from the Evil Eye. The beautiful and powerful Blessings and Space Clearings cleanse a space, whether it is a home or a business, of ANY negative energy.
Transcendental Blessings and Space Clearings are not just used to eradicate "Predecessor Energy. They are also used if someone believes they have had the Evil Eye placed on them.
In my readings, I did find that almost every Country believes in The Evil Eye. They also have different ways of dealing with this energy which is said to come either intentionally or by accident. It is said the Evil Eye can come to you by someone who is jealous of what you have or what they perceive you have. Some say it is done inadvertently by someone staring at you too long.

In almost EVERY language I could find, there are special prayers for anyone suffering from the "spell" of the Evil Eye.
In Italian the prayer is called Mal Occhio. Many years ago I had asked my Grandmother (who knew many old prayers and blessings) what she thought of this hideous "curse" that could be placed on you. She told me something that I live by:
If you don't BELIEVE something can hurt you, then it can't. Those who believe in The Evil Eye, she said, live in fear. And if they feel they have it, there isn't much they can do to rid themselves of it. She refused to believe in it and never spent a fearful day.
I'm curious what you believe about The Evil Eye. When I work with Feng Shui Clients who believe in it, I do address it through the Space Clearings we do and I always honor and respect their beliefs.

Just Another Day on Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA
It's been many years since I've ventured up to Cape Cod. I used to visit Provincetown almost every year with and without my children. They have fond memories of Whale Watching trips, beautiful beaches, wonderful restaurants and fun people.
There is a tolerance in PTown that I don't see in many places. Perhaps that's why it attracts so many people every year. As busy as Commercial Street is, there is an absence of cars honking. There is an abundance of friendly people who will take time to tell you their favorite restaurants or help you find your way if you get lost.
A spur of the moment thought turned into an idea and a last minute road trip. This is one of my favorite pictures to share of a typical day on Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA:

Feng Shui in Northport Long Island NY
On a recent visit to a Client's home on lovely Long Island in Northport Long Island NY we addressed the inside of her home during a Feng Shui Consultation. As New York Feng Shui Consultants, we also address the OUTSIDE of a home or business to see what, if any, influences may be affecting the space.
In New York City we look at the buildings surrounding the one we are working on. On lovely Long Island we look for Street Energy, neighbors and other structures nearby including lakes and different types of Energy.
Long Island has become very built up through the years. While as children we used to see many animals, few are left today in many areas. I think we shocked this little fellow and I guess, from a Feng Shui Perspective, he was right in thinking we were invading HIS space : )

Next time I'm in more wide, open areas on Long Island NY for a Feng Shui Consultation, I will give our furry friends some notice!
