Protecting Against Disaster part ii

There are many things a Brevard home owner can do to protect their home from and even prevent most types of property disasters. Everyone of these steps you take can help ensure that if something does happen to your home the affects will not be as drastic.

  1. Purchase and use a fire rated document safe. These only cost around $20 and are invaluable. Keep important papers and your safety deposit box key in this small portable safe.
  2. Have your AC system inspected every couple of years. This will ensure that your condensation drain line is working properly, your coolant pressure is optimal, and your coil is clean. You will likely make up the cost of the service call on the energy savings.
  3. Purchase and keep a fire extinguisher in the kitchen. Place it under the sink, everyone else does. Let your whole family know where it is and what it is for.

PuroClean hopes these simple ideas can make a difficult situation that much easier. We serve Palm Bay and the rest of Brevard and Indian River County.
