BOA Constrictor

"It is a jungle out there," is a common expression alluding to confusion and disorder which is the normal landscape in the animal kingdom. With the economic morass perpetrated by increased unemployment rate resulting to more foreclosures, declining house market price and slower real estate recovery, getting out of the murky water is becoming more challenging for the average Americans. Hence, I am beginning to feel, we are indeed in a jungle. There could be all sorts of animals lurking in our midst affecting the core of our lives and the means of living.

One particular specie that gives me the creepy feeling is the BOA constrictor. It is too big that one prey could nourish him from a week to several months due to slow metabolism. It is digestive system is also slow that it will take him 4 to six days to digest its victim.(source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boa_constrictor)

That explains why Bank Of America took 54 days to close on a deal. There is no need to rush its digestive system. It is slow in the first place. After digestion, the food can sit in its vertiginous innards for several more weeks. Why process expeditiously? The preys can wait to sign their lives with him.

This Week's Featured Lake in Connecticut - Lower Bolton Lake

One of the most desirable lakes in Connecticut

If I were to grab from a plethora of descriptive adjectives to capture the true essence and beauty of Lower Bolton Lake, serene and tranquil would be an understatement and overly used words as scintillating and dreamy are to a dashing heartthrob Eric Bana(yes, I am a big fan of this Aussie actor). Lower Bolton Lake has a special place in my heart as a real estate agent. My very first listing was a ranch situated in Vernon Road where the sun rises from the left wing of the house. It did not take long for this memorable home to sell. Fifteen days was all it took for the very lucky owners’ offer to get accepted.

Unequivocally, the vastness of the lake combined by the clear and peaceful water make properties on this lake very highly-coveted. The Town of Bolton tests the water four times a year to maintain the quality of the lake. It also imposed restriction on motor boats to 6 horsepower. The lake is approximately 175 acres.

For fishing aficionados, a variety of fish species thrives on this lake: largemouth bass, yellow perch, black crappie and sunfish. In the summer, bass fishing is more pervasive. Canoeing, kayaking and boat paddling are the favorite recreational activities of the residents. Others bask in the sun from their own private domain.

Invasive and non-invasive plants are generally scarce on Lower Bolton Lake. They are only present in some shallow areas in moderate densities.

A state-owned boat launch is located off Rt. 44 right after Keeney Road. Its proximity to Hartford, 10 to 15-minute drive, has driven lakefront hunters toward this part of the town.

Come and a buy a piece of paradise in Lower Bolton Lake when an opportunity knocks at your door.
