If you have an FHA mortgage and have made the last 12 payments on time (no more then 30 days late) this is a good time to look into an FHA streamline refinance. Rates are at historic lows and the potential monthly savings as well as long terms interest savings can really add up.
A streamline mortgage usually does not require income or asset documentation and an appraisal may not be required. That means you can still take advantage of a lower mortgage rate, even if your home has not appreciated in value.
For more information about FHA streamline refinances contact Rebecca Cole for a no cost or obligation mortgage analysis. All applications are processed in my local office and turnaround times are currently less than four weeks.

I have read some wonderful posts here on Active Rain about ways people are cutting back on spending in light of current economic times. I have been inspired to reevaluate my own situation and become thriftier with my business and personal spending. I am also concentrating on the spirit of the holidays this year by giving thoughtful gifts that carry personalized meaning instead of a high price tag.
It has occurred to me that no matter how tight things may be in my family, there are others who are hurting even more. Although I have cut back on dining out, I still have a full pantry and I am able to provide three nutritious meals to my family every day. There are people in my neighborhood and in communities around the country who are struggling to put together one meal a day.
Food banks are at an all time low this year and thousands of people depend on these food banks each week to feed their families. The Maryland Food Bank has a wonderful website where you can read about hunger in Maryland. There is also information on how to host a Virtual Food Drive with your co-workers and friends to help fill the food bank shelves for hungry Marylanders.
I went through my kitchen and was able to fill two bags with canned vegetables and other items that I am going to donate. Think about how many people would have food on the table if we all put together just one bag of groceries each month. This is the time to reach out to our fellow neighbors who need our help. Please consider giving to your local food bank. Even the smallest donations will help someone in your community.
