On April 1, 2010, CENTURY 21 Real Estate LLC launched the “$8,000 List Your Home Sweepstakes” national campaign tying it to the timing of the Federal Tax Credit. From April 1 thru June 30, 2010, all persons from qualifying states that listed a property with a CENTURY 21 brokerage firm received one (1) sweepstakes entry. Individuals could have also entered the sweepstakes by sending an official entry form or by sending a 3x5 piece of paper with their contact information.
Twenty-one (21) $8,000 grand prize drawings took place after the sweepstakes closed and a lucky couple, John & Marie Augustyniak, happened to be vacationing in Oahu when their names were drawn as one of the winners! John & Marie listed their house with a CENTURY 21 brokerage firm in New Mexico.
CENTURY 21 LLC contacted CENTURY 21 All Islands and asked if they would do the honor of handing the prize to them. Jane Dukesherer, Broker-in-Charge for their Waikiki office, had the pleasure of presenting the Augustyniaks a check for $8,000. “They were very happy with their Realtor and all the things that CENTURY 21 did to get their home sold quickly, for the price they wanted. After their property was sold, they booked a dream cruise. It was an amazing bonus to learn they won the sweepstakes and their cruise is paid for!” said Dukesherer.
“We are thrilled to be part of such a happy occasion. It’s not everyday you get to hand a check to people for $8,000 and make their day, better yet, make their vacation here in paradise even better!”, said Marie Felix, Marketing Director for CENTURY 21 All Islands.
