Little Rock, Arkansas (Grassroots Newswire) March 27, 2009 -- EXIT Realty Deaton Group will host their 2nd annual Golf Tournament on Tuesday, April 21 at The Country Club of Arkansas in Maumelle. The tournament will benefit the Genetics Research Department at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Shotgun start time is 1 pm and lunch for all registered players begins at 11:30 am. Registration is $100 per player or $400 per team and cash prizes will be given to players in the top three teams in each flight. Prizes will be awarded for longest drive and closest to the pin. A number of sponsorships are available all a variety of levels.

The tournament, now in its second year, began as a way to give back to the community and raise awareness for Landau-Kleffner Syndrome.

"My family and I owe a great deal to Arkansas Children's Hospital due to the treatment provided to my son, Crosse. Without the knowledge and experience of Dr. Sharp and his team, my son's battle with Landau-Kleffner Syndrome could have left permanent disabilities", states Scott Deaton, Broker/Owner of EXIT Realty Deaton Group. My goal is to raise awareness of this disorder so other families understand the symptoms and know the treatments available at Arkansas Children's Hospital."

Jim Mazziotti, the principal broker and franchise owner of EXIT Realty Bend, saw an opportunity to do something, that to his knowledge, had never been done before in the United States. He was referring to the first ever LIVE Ustream.tv 56 Hour Open House that was presented beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13^th and ran continuously to Sunday, March 15^th at 6:00p.m.

"We were live on Ustream for 56 hours and 14 minutes," said Mazziotti. Using the Ustream.tv internet platform, Mazziotti and twelve of his EXIT agents, numerous event preferred partners and event sponsors presented a continuous flow of presentations related to real estate. "We asked preferred partners that we believe in, and work with everyday, to join us to tell their story and share in this special event. We asked a home inspector, lenders, a contractor and other professionals to open up their world to our internet audience, and they did a great job," he said.

The Ustream platform allowed those attending to watch the LIVE webcast and ask questions at the same time. "We had viewers and questions from everywhere in the United States, Canada and the world. One viewer in Australia was especially interested in the Bend lifestyle and the beautiful northwest," Mazziotti said.

The 56-hour show and open house saw more than 2000 viewers come to the site to watch the live webcast. "At an open house REALTORS work to get folks through the front door and we had about 200 people stop by the open house in person, but this event was about bringing people to our virtual doorstep. This is the next step in our business and we had a blast."
