It is with great pride that we announce the 4^th anniversary of the

Jacksonville's Annual Puerto Rican Parade and Festival.

This Parade and Festival is considered the BIGGEST HISPANIC event in Jacksonville and the Northeast Florida.

It has always been characterized as a family-oriented, cultural and educational event.

It showcases the very best of the Puerto Rican culture, arts and crafts, Puerto Rican painters, exhibits,

and a colorful and cheerful parade. The Puerto Rican Day Parade is becoming a Jacksonville tradition!!!

On Saturday, September 13th, 2008 the Jacksonville Landing will be sizzling with the sounds of Latin music,

marching bands, beauty queens in foot-high tiaras and dancers, all moving to a thumping salsa beat !!!

"WELCOME TO PUERTO RICO" - "BIENVENIDOS A PUERTO RICO"

The Parade starts at 12noon-Front of the Federal Reserve Bank, passing by the front of Jacksonville Landing!

The Festival Area: "The Jacksonville Landing" - Opens at 12 noon and the festivities will end at 2:00 am.

DOWNTOWN DEBUT OF MOVIES IN THE PARK

WHAT: Movies in the Park at Treaty Oak

WHERE: Jessie Ball DuPont Park, 1123 Prudential Drive

WHEN: Each Friday in April at 8 p.m.

COST: FREE

DETAILS: As part of a special Downtown Movies in the Park series, you can come and enjoy free movies at the historic Treaty Oak in Jessie Ball DuPont Park.

Hosted by JaxParks and sponsored by Downtown Vision, Inc., Suddath, 102.9 FM The Point and Rock 105, the movies will be shown at 8 p.m. each Friday in April. All movies are rated PG.

Make sure you dine at a great Downtown restaurant before the movie or order take-out for a picnic dinner. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for this spectacular spring night under the stars. A food vendor will also sell concessions on site for any extra munchies.

Free parking for the event is available in the Suddath garage on Flagler Street between Suddath and the Hampton Inn. The garage gates will open at 5:30 p.m. until 1 a.m.
