I'm so excited about the power of networking, and the real power of Active Rain. Days ago I launched www.realestatenugget.com, our new FREE listing site for commercial and residential real estate.... I've been inviting brokers to visit our site and POST their properties.
And today we reached an exciting milestone: We received Listing Posts in Florida! This is really cool for me because I'm based in Oregon. Our website is designed to be national, but there's something really rewarding to plant the seed and watch it grow. There's a first for everything. We've just launched our Beta version of www.realestatenugget.com. This is our free real estate listing service. It's a lot like craigslist, but in my opinion it's better....because your listings stay on for 60 days.
It's new, so there aren't a lot of listings on the site yet, but the reality is for those of you who understand the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies, posting your listings on www.realestatenugget.com will give you greater exposure.
You're able to link to your website in our description box, which pulls your own personal websites higher and higher up google searches.
We've also figured out how to accomodate those of you using Postlets and other HTML generating flyer services. If you have the HTML code from Postlets, you simply go to our description box and click on the HTML icon which will open a box within which you paste the copied HTML code for your Postlets listing.
Another real benefit for brokers using www.realestatenugget.com is that it becomes an efficient place for you to manage your multiple listings. I'm writing to share my recent experience of the last two months. I am a new ActiveRain contributor, and I've been really interested in investing time and energy into this forum because I believe in the value of SEO strategies, and the power of blogging in general.
I've been explaining to friends and colleagues that we really can't know the full value of our blogging and general internet activity at this moment, but it's the sort of activity that will pay dividends down the road. In one or two years, those of us who are actively working this medium will be miles and years beyond our competitors who are missing the boat.
I wanted to share that in the last two months alone, I've been contacted by several local brokers, a title representative, and today, a long lost friend living in Hong Kong! All of this communication is due to my efforts on ActiveRain pushing my website and blogging to whomever is curious..... It's paying off!
This is the whole point, using this medium to generate contacts and leads that you wouldn't otherwise have generated.
But like most investments, it requires a long term effort, so keep it up.

Also, I wanted to share that I'm currently looking for a new broker to help spearhead my effort of expanding my new residential real estate branch. There's no denying the strength of the Oregon real estate market. Yes, we're over built in some areas at the moment... Yes, there are all sorts of developers upside down in investments..... Yes, home prices have been inflated over the last two years.... and YES, people are not stopping their movement into Oregon for our awesome standard of living. Our prices are still affordable and Oregon represents an excellent region to relocate to. For this reason alone, the trending growth signifies future strength.
I truly believe that this Spring and Summer will bring optimism back to our market, and activity will pick up again.

Thank you so much for your prefessionalism throughout the Rainbow deal. I appreciated you and your enthusiasm and candor when discussing the estate's options. It was a challenging case and an unusual one, but I never felt concerned about your abilities to get the property sold, once I decided that was teh best option. The speed in which the perfect buyer was found was a nice surprise, all the more positive in light of how difficult this estate has been in many other ways. The sale of Rainbow stood out as a quick and pleasant experience.
Finally, let me again thank you for your handling of the situation with the estate lawyer. You graciously took her advice with the paperwork and agreed to pay her fees accrued in assistance of the Rainbow deal. To me this hows your flexibility in learning new things and your honorable professional approach to clients. I think you are going to be very successful in the real estate world, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
