Anyone interested in becoming a certified ASA (Amateur Softball Association) softball Umpire in Northern NJ (Passaic & Bergen Counties) there will be a training class beginning February 28, 2008 running for 6 consecutive Thursdays. The instructor will be Mark Welch, ASA Certified Clinician and Instructor for 15 years for the Bergen and Passaic County areas. Mark was a 2002 inductee to the National Indicator Fraternity, has been selected to umpire in 6 National Championship Tournaments throughout the Country and is only the 6th umpire in the State of New Jersey to be awarded "Elite" status..
Training Begins February 28, 7pm at the Totowa NJ PAL Building.
Cost for the class: $100 ASA registration fee $45 for the year
