The Dallas Home market has become very competive in the last few months. Inventory in up, and homes have been sitting on the market for longer periods of time. According to preliminary statistics released by the North Texas Real Estate Information Systems and Texas A&M University's Real Estate Center, pre-owned home sales in North Texas fell 16 percent in January compared with a year earlier. While adding to a long run of declines, last month's drop in sales was less than the almost 23 percent decrease in December. At the end of January there were 43,323 pre-owned single-family homes listed for sale - up 1 percent from a year earlier. The latest home market statistics indicate that the slowdown will continue.

The curb appeal of this Tuscan inspired home with Old Worlds charm was lost once you entered the front doors. The hand scraped wood floors were drowned with heavy rugs and the flow of the space was stopped with the distraction of overly bright artwork. What was once a drab interior dining room became a gorgeous space to have a dinner party.

The kitchen was cluttered, once staged it showcased ample granite counter space, stainless steel appliances, and beautiful cabinetry.

The Master suite was anything but sweet; mismatched bedding and lack of furniture made this a less-than appealing retreat. Once new bedding, lamps, artwork, and a comfy chair were added, this space finally became a Hotel inspired Luxury Master retreat  The beautiful Stone fireplace in the Family room that once faded into the background beacme the focal point of the room.

The granite bar upstairs lacks the entertaining excitement that this home should have with a Media room to one side and a game room to the other side. By just simply adding touches of color and a bistro table where you can share a bottle of wine made this room the gathering space for friends and family.

   Simple touches, removing distracting colors, taking away clutter, adding simple clean lined furnishing and accessories turned this home into a showplace. Our Home Staging service and Interior Design services have lead to amazing transformations.

This home was just staged this weekend and the Realtor has priced it below market value for a quick sale. Offered at only $429,000 it is priced about $75,000-$100,000 less than building the same house with all the upgrades new. And the house has only been lived in for 6 months! WOW!!
