There is a large percentage of these phantom "ghost deer" in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin.
Someone recently checked to see how prevalent the albino whitetail deer were. (He had taken a photo with 4 white deer in the same picture) The source he checked with said that the odds of that being able to happen were over a million-to-one.
Boulder Junction has long been famous for it's heard of white deer. I have photos with four yearling albino playing in a jack pine stand a mile from my home.
This photo was taken in my driveway. The albino was watching our cat, "Stella", and had no worries about me as I was taking photos within 20'. The "regular" brown deer were not so sure. It was an interesting fall evening, and made for some excellent shots.
