Salt Lake County has most everything. In the shadow of the Beautiful Wasatch Mountain Range on the east and the Oquirrh Mountains on the West. Some of the worlds greatest skiing is just minutes away. Utah snow is often referred to as the "Greatest Snow on Earth." For entertainment check out the the Utah Jazz basketball, Real Salt Lake Soccer, Grizzly Hockey, Bee's baseball, University of Utah sports, and the Arts with Ballet West, The Utah Symphony, Pioneer Memorial Theatre, Capitol Theatre, Utah Opera. There is also Hogle Zoo, Utah Museum of Natural History, Childrem's Museum, Clark Planetarium. The Olympic Skating Oval is in Salt Lake County, in Kearns. Many world records have been set in this venue, which has public skating year round. The Oval does not have ice on it during the summer time but there is always at least one hockey rink with ice on it. There are great hikes all around the valley and in the nearby canyons, extensive bike trails along the jordan river parkway and up to the mountains.

There is a well educated work force with one of the lowest unemployment rates in the Country. Many national businesses have found the work force sufficient to handle all of thier needs. There are strong family values drivng this community. It is a great place to relocate to. Come check out a "Pretty great state."

I love this country! We have our problems, currently plenty of negative news, yet I love this country. I have spent time outside of the country in places I really loved, yet whenI returned here after several years elsewhere I just wanted to Kiss the ground. There are so many beautiful places. We need to take the opportunities to let our voices be heard, in order to preserve our freedoms. Get educated on the issues and make sure you are registered then go out and vote! I will not tell you how to vote, just to vote.

If you are a sports fan this is an awsome time of year. Baseball is winding towards the playoffs, Football is in full swing, basketball is almost ready to start again. Sometimes I just can't get enough. College football has been fun to listen to today. Our local teams are having a great season. The MountainWest conference is turning heads this year. I love fall as well. Cool crisp nights the fall leaves have started the majesty of brilliant colors. The canyons are alive with color if you get a chance to go up into the mountains here in Utah this time of year you can see some wonderful landscapes. Went out to dinner tonight at the Gecko Resteraunt in South Jordan, Utah. We enjoy our meals there, I had the shredded beef burrito and my wife loves the mexican pizza there. Service is great, the chips and salsa are wonderful. The chips are warm when they come to you. When the whole meal is over you have to have the Gecko Bavarian Mints. They are to die for.

There are some wonderful eating establishments here in the Salt Lake Valley. From time to time I'll elaborate more. If there is somewhere you would recomend I would love to hear about it!
