I could hardly believe my eyes. $1.39 a gallon for gas today. Not too long ago I wondered if we would ever see gas below $3.00 again. I'm sure it is not that low everywhere and I am not trying to brag but as I pulled the gas nozzle from my car all I could think was wahoo, Merry Christmas to me.
I just spent one glorious week in Hawaii. I was only on Oahu, mostly on the North Shore. I have listened to alot of different people discuss Hawaii. They talk about different locations, Islands, so on and so forth. The waves are huge this time of year, there was even a big surfing competition. The weather was wonderful, Low 80's in the day- low 70's at night. The water warm swimming and other water activities very enjoyable. Now I get why so many like to go so often to this paradise. The fact that I was swimming on a private beach at 8:00 a.m. Monday my last day there and then was standing in Salt Lake the next day in 26 degree weather the next day makes the Hawaii experience all the more amazing. I was there for my niece's wedding. I t was a beautiful event. I can hardly wait to see those wedding pics.

From my family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving! My daughter wanted to share her talents with everyone and I was more than happy to send it your way. I'm thankful for all of my friends out there in the Active Rain community. Kick back and have a wonderful day! My thanks to those serving our country helping us to have the freedom we do. No matter how tough things get here there are very few places one can enjoy the kind of life we have here. Thank You!
Gas prices under $2.00 again. Did you wonder if you would ever see that again? It seems to me like things have picked up in our market here in Utah as well. I am receiving more calls on my listings, even have an offer in right now on a listing. How are things looking out there for everyone else? Bring on the happy news, I think we would all like to hear it.
What a great chance to meet and greet the community I live in. If you get a chance sign up to work in the polls. We actually had as many people in our district early or absentee vote as we had vote yesterday. We were prepared for long lines and lots of people. It was busy all day but the longest wait for any of our voters was 26 minutes because some people came 20 minutes early before the polls opened. We had around 60% of our two precincts vote. As I pondered the whole situation I realized that this was only 60% of registered voters. How many potential voters haven't even registered? How small a percentage of adults are actually registered to vote? I got home and started watching the election returns and realized how few people in our country really care who represents the country, states, and communities we live in. The news media is pretty proud of the great voter turnout. I think if we were to examine what percentage of Iraq's voters voted in the elections when finally given the opportunity to vote it would be a huge number. Freedom has made so many people soft. So many think their vote doesn't really count. Things may not of turned out the way I was hoping in all of the races yesterday but I know if things don't get better in the next few years I have a chance to make a difference again. I will be watching closely, how about you?
I'm hoping that things improve in the economy that people will return to the great investment of Real Estate. Lets make it happen!
