My company, Glastonbury Home Staging was hired to stage an owner occupied home for a family located in South Windsor, CT , that was relocating. I met with them in early January and discussed my recommendations. They had watched all the shows on HGTV and knew they needed help and were prepared and open to working to get their house ready for sale.
They replaced all carpeting, painted the whole interior of the house, added hardwood floors, replaced windows, changed out hardware, changed light fixtures and replaced all kitchen appliances with stainless steel. It was a lot of work. I chose the paint, light fixtures, and consulted on carpet. I asked them to remove some pieces of furniture. I brought in artwork, bedding, lamps and accessories from my inventory.
The house was just listed on the MLS and I got a call from the seller telling me in sold in 24 hrs at full asking price +$100. I am so psyched for this family.
It was such a pleasure to work with this couple, they got it, and they trusted me. They worked hard and it paid off. It is so satisfying to do this work.

I just spoke with the REA, Tommy Evans, Century 21, Glastonbury, CT, regarding a house that my company, Glastonbury Home Staging had staged, he had 4 offers in 4 weeks! I am thrilled for the seller. This unique home, a split level contemporary in Glastonbury, CT an area that has more traditional home, lots of center hallway Colonials. Two weeks ago, the seller said they had over 35 showings and 3 offers. I believe this is because the home showed well in the photos online, and because of the staging. If I do say so myself!

Our house was large (almost 6,000 sqft including a finished walkout suite) empty, and white! white, walls, and large white marble tiles in every room in the main level with very ornate lighting fixtures. I first contacted Rhonda Rawlins, owner of Glastonbury Home Staging, South Glastonbury, CT, when one of my listings was not showing as well as I knew that it could if it were staged. I am a big believer in staging and this house needed staging. My listing was a beautiful high-end home that was vacant. Buyers were just not connecting with the house.
