I am an E S G R (Employer Support of the Guard & Reserves) volunteer trying to make my own difference and hopefully helping our veterans now and in the future that their "rights" in the work place are supported by employers around the country.

I am asking that each independent contractor with or without employees or reservists working for them sign a Statement of Support as explained in the following passages.

Earn a Five Star Recognition for your support of the men and women now serving proudly in America's National Guard and Armed Forces Reserve. Your State's Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee will work with you to provide you with assistance and guidance in keeping your Guard and reserve member employees on the job and in the ranks.

You can earn the recognition you deserve by providing demonstrated support for our Volunteers who serve our nation.

  1. Sign a Statement of Support and tell your community that you stand behind our troops - your employees - in peace, in crisis and in war.
  2. Review your Human Resource Policies to ensure that your policies comply with the provisions of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. ESGR can assist you with this.
  3. Train your Managers and Supervisors and give them the tools they need to effectively manage your Guard and Reserve member employees - ask your ESGR volunteers for assistance.
  4. Adopt "Over and Above" policies in your company that provide your Guard and Reserve member with more support than the that required by law.
  5. Support the ESGR. YOU can make a difference with your time, energy, effort and contributions. Ask an ESGR volunteer how you can get involved in your state ESGR Committee.

Brokers and business owners

As and ESGR volunteer, I work on my own time to reslove Employer-soldier issues and to keep our citizen soldiers an integral part of the community. This service is how I give back to my country through volunteer programs to help our country and our veterans. I am the Area 6 Chairman for the ESGR in Wisconsin. I have presented more than 70 Statements of Support to area companies during the past nine months and have presented statements of Support to fellow Realtors around the country who wanted to show their support for the guard and reserves.

There is no charge for this, I "foot my own bill" sort to speak and at the same time I will send you a frame to hang on your wall that shows your support for the military.

REALTORS and those that are affiliated with Real Estate

Show your patriotism! Regardless of your views of the war or use of our troops around the world, we must still support our troops who are in the middle. YOU as independant contractors can show your support of your communities citizen soldiers, by signing a Statement of Support that you would not discriminate against Guardspeople or Reservists if you were to employ them. It is not a requirement that you currently employ a Guardsperson or Reservist OR that you have any employees at all. I am a 5 STAR SUPPORTER and I have NO employees.

If you are in Central Wisconsin, I will deliver the Statement of Support in Person and provide a News Release if you so desire (Free Advertising). NOTHING TO BUY! This is not a sales pitch - I want no money from you only your support! If you are outside the central Wisconsin area or outside Wisconsin, do not despair, when you sign a Statement of Support and reurn the form to me, I will mount that form and mail it back to you in a very presentable frame.
