Back last month, a Keller Williams agent out of Gig Harbor WA posted a comment to one of my articles on SOUNDBITEBLOG. After tossing a few e-mails back and forth, I sent him an invitation to join our beloved network.
Please take a moment to send an e-mail welcoming Matt Thomson to our ranks! He is affiliated with the Keller Williams office in Gig Harbor WA, and also maintains an 'outside' blog, "Gig Harbor Undressed." (please don't be worried. There is no nudity on his blog, except for maybe pictures of his dog, Sebastian)
It's great to have some new faces in our own neighboring Rain Puddle! Other recent new members are Jo Soss, an agent with Skyline Properties, and Marlene Scheffer of Realty Station, both based in nearby Bremerton WA.
Let's All make it one of our New Year's Resolutions to spread the ActiveRain Cheer and invite more people to participate and benefit from this great community!
There was great cause for celebration here last week on the Kitsap County Peninsula in scenic Washington State!
1st Time Home Buyers, TR & Arwen, closed on their home in Port Orchard!
This was one of the most fun and rewarding transactions I've had the privilege of being involved in for quite some time!
TR & Arwen came over from Hawaii, under orders courtesy of the U.S. Navy. TR just recently made Chief Petty Officer, so it's been a very eventful month for both of them!
To read more about the home-buying adventures of TR & Arwen, go to SOUNDBITEBLOG.

Okay, so our beloved Seattle Seahawks lost yesterday in a 37-6 rout to the Chicago Bears. I guess if you're gonna lose, it might as well be to "Da Bears."
However, my greater redeeming consolation was that my youngest son, Luke, and his team, the Silverdale Pee Wee Seahawks, won their game Saturday against a tough Chico team with a pounding of 30-8. Luke was QB for the entire game and scored his second official touch-down pass.
If anyone knows any scouts for Ohio State, feel free to give them my number!

Typically, most of my computer work is done here at the office. There's less distractions and I just tend to feel more productive.
However, it's very convenient having a computer at home as well to quickly access my e-mails, print out a listing, or satisfy my late night AR fix.
The other evening, after an especially enjoyable dip in our hot tub, I switched on our trusty Dell and got the alarming prompt, "Missing Windows\System32\Hal.dll file!"
Right away, you know things are not good!
So I mess around a bit and the prompt changes. Now it says, "NTLDR is missing." Oh great! What the heck is an "NTLDR?" And why is it missing? Did it jump ship on its own, or did some little spyware thief confiscate it?
And why can't they make these prompts a little more "user-friendly?" Seriously, they should just make-up prompts we can all better understand. Like:
"Get out your check book"
"You should've bought the Compaq"
"Your virus-scan software has expired"
"You did have a back-up drive, right?"
So here I am at the office, our home computer on the floor next to my desk, cold and lifeless, awaiting the arrival of the local computer gods/geeks, and praying for the salvation of all our files!
