So many people I have talked to in the last couple weeks have expressed their profound concern and nervousness about buying a home. And it is true that we are in uncertain times. With banks across the country struggling, recent bad weather causing destruction, and the lingering effects of the foreclosure markets, it is hard not to have a little trepidation about new home ownership.
HOWEVER...
Since the bail-out of Fannie-Mae and Freddie-Mac, mortgage rates dropped by four tenths of a percent-- almost immediately, and there are signs that rates for home buyers could fall even further.
This is one of the best rate drops that we have seen in a long time. If you have the ability to move now, not only are you in a buyer's market, meaning there is plenty to choose from at a good price, but you will also be able to finance that great deal at a super rate. It is a win-win time to buy.
If you are looking to make that next home purchase in Charlotte, NC, consider buying now, so you can capitalize and the unique set of market conditions that are working in your favor!
