Hagerstown Downtown Ghost Tours

On Friday October 24th, the City of Hagerstown will present its annual Ghost Tour in Downtown Hagerstown. Tour participants can either walk or partake in the hayride tour. Walking tours start at 7:00, 7:30, 8:00 and 8:30pm and hayrides start at 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00 pm. Reservations are required. Ghost Train at Walkersville Southern Railroad

What better way to enjoy Halloween than by taking a ride on a Ghost Train. The historic Walkersville Southern Railroad will be running its annual Ghost Train at 7;30 AND 9:30 pm on Halloween. In The Street, Frederick MD

The "In The Street" festival for 2008 spans two days this year. Starting on Friday, October 3rd, from 6pm to 9pm is "Light The Creek" at the Carroll Creek Linear Park and Amphitheater. There will be live music concert, food, beer and wine. There will also be an opportunity to support local non-profit groups by buying a floating luminary and launch it in the creek. One luminary will be selected and all luminary proceeds will be given to that organization.

Saturday morning there is a one mile race at 9:30 am. The festival hours are 11am till 5pm. There will be 5 stages with live entertainment, beer and wine gardens, food, kids crafts, and lots of local Frederick County Wares to buy.

At 5;30, the fun continues with "On The Deck" at the top deck of the Carroll Creek parking garage. Live music, beer, wine and food is available. This event is for adults 21 and over, $10.00 cover charge.

The "In The Street" festival has been a Frederick tradition for over 25 years. Downtown Frederick Md along North Market Street.

Frederick First Night for October 2008

"Into The Night" is the theme for October's First Night Celebration in downtown Frederick, MD. It is a fall harvest theme featuring hayrides, pumpkin painting, square dancing and scarecrows decorated by local merchants. For those of you not familiar with the First Night celebration, it is always held on the first Saturday of the month, rain or shine.
