I just got off the phone with a great client that is moving From Texas to Redding...he mentioned that it was 108 there yesterday with 80% Humidity!! Wow....un bel iev able.....I don't love the heat.....yeah I know why am I in Redding right? But let me tell you....the heat is tolerable when the humidity is LOW....Redding has very low humidity in the summer....an occasional exception like right now...but then it's not 108 either....yet!
Redding offering many things to do...if you like the outdoors.There is everything from hiking/biking/walking the river trail/fishing/swimming/boating/exploring and we are close to Mt Lassen and Mt Shasta.

Foreclosures have hit even the large estate type homes in Redding California. Recently two out of the area lenders lost a total of over $1.6 Million on one Estate type home in Redding in an exlusive area.

There are many people this time of the year looking for a home with views of Shasta Lake.What many people don't realize is that there are very few properties that are actually right on the water....There are a few that are waterfront homes but the Government owns the land between the water level and the property owners actual line.
There are homes that over look Shasta Lake and these range in price from the High $300,000's to up over a Million depending on size,location etc.
The main thing to look for when checking out Shasta Lake View homes is the quality of the home, the well...and the desired useage of the home...Will it be primarily used as a vacation home only or will you live in it 6 months out of the year?
What might work for a 2 week out of the year residence may not work at all for someone desiring to live half year on the property!
