New Student Registration for 2008-2009
2008-2009 New student registration for School District 93 will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008.
Families with students who will attend Carol Stream School, Western Trails School, Heritage Lakes School or Jay Stream Middle School can register at Jay Stream Middle School, 283 El Paso Lane in Carol Stream.
Families with students who will attend Roy DeShane School, Elsie Johnson School, Cloverdale School or Stratford Middle School can register at Stratford Middle School, 251 Butterfield Drive, Bloomingdale.
Registration at both Middle Schools will take place from 7:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2008
Proof of residency is required at the time of registration along with an official copy of the child's birth certificate. Proof of residency is required of parents and legal guardians prior to enrollment. Proof of residency may be verified with a driver's license or state I.D. bearing the in-district address as well as a utility bill, signed lease, or mortgage statement with the in-district address.

Meet the Teacher Day for all school will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 9:00-10:30 for both Jay Stream and Stratford Middle Schools and from 11:00-12:30 for all Elementary Schools.
Wednesday, August 27, 2008 is the first day of school. School times are 8:00-11:00 for the Middle Schools and from 9:00-12:00 for all elementary schools.
The first full day of attendance is Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 8:00-2:45 for the Middle Schools and 9:00-3:30 for the Elementary Schools.

It is hard to believe the Carol Stream annual 4-day "Summer in the Center" is fast approaching. The festival begins on Thursday, June 5, 2008 and runs till Sunday evening June 8, 2008. There is lots of entertainment, the Carnival and Amusement Park runs Thursday 6pm - 10pm and Friday 6pm- 11pm, Saturday from noon- 11pm and Sunday from noon- 10pm. A Beer Garden is open every evening and there is discounted Ride Wristbands Available every day. And as always....Great food from many vendors with business in Carol Stream.

It is time for our annual RE/MAX School Balloon Program. That's right....RE/MAX All Pro, your Carol Stream RE/MAX is sponsoring their school balloon program at Roy De Shane Elementary School in the Community Consolidated School District 93 ( CCSD93).
During this 90 minute school assembly, students will learn about the art of ballooning. The make up of the balloon and the actually inflation and lift off of the well recognized RE/MAX hot air balloon!
Students and teachers are awe stricken by this giant balloon with the firey flames and loud ignitors. It always proves to be a great success and very fulfilling to see the smiling faces of the kids.

When time permits, it is not uncommon to find us all playing a round of golf at the youth links. Our son just completed his first year of Carol Stream Travel Baseball. Rick was our pitching coach. It was a very exciting year and mom and sister never missed a game! We are the boys BIGGEST FANS!! Although we don't get to relax too much, we never miss an opportunity to spend a little time fishing for walleye. During the winter months we all enjoy our bowling leagues. Although mom and dad are having a difficult time keeping up with the kids. They are both middle school age and have bowled a few more 200 games than mom and dad. It is hard to keep up with them but we enjoy the challenge!
