When someone says, "I live in the Metroplex," they are referring to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area. Residents of the area informally refer to it as the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, or simply The Metroplex, which is the economic and cultural hub of the region commonly called North Texas or North Central Texas. There are twelve counties within this area and the real estate within these counties continues to do quite well. The counties include Collin County, Dallas County, Delta County, Denton County, Ellis County, Hunt County, Johnson County, Kaufman County, Parker County, Rockwall County, Tarrant County and Wise County.
Relocation to the Metroplex is due to different reasons, but one of the top reasons is for job stability. The cities of Dallas and Fort Worth are the anchor cities of the Metroplex. Dallas and its suburbs have one of the highest concentrations of corporate headquarters in the United States. As such, one of the largest industries in the Metroplex is conducting business. The Metroplex also contains the largest Information Technology industry base in the state, owing to the large number of corporate IT projects and the presence of numerous electronics, computing and telecom firms such as Texas Instruments, Electronic Data Systems, Perot Systems, i2, AT&T, and Verizon in and around Dallas.
If shopping is your pleasure there is Uptown, a vintage trolley line that travels along McKinney Avenue, allowing shoppers to jump off and visit antique shops, art galleries, furniture stores, restaurants, and specialty shops. West Village is an outdoor, European-style mall full little shops, restaurants, bars, and a movie theater at the north end and a multitude more for all of your shopping experiences.
Dallas real estate offered in the Metroplex area includes apartment homes, townhomes, condos, high rises, single family resale homes, new construction homes and more. The choices are numerous to families relocating to the area. The local Dallas realtors cater to each client's unique housing needs. So, if you are in the market to purchase real estate in the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex, come and visit, search the web or make a phone call to a local realtor.
