Ginger Foust's blog Sellers and Realtors: Staging Education has been a great series. To help prove her right, I wanted to share again how important updating can be.
This bathroom is huge! It's got so many great features, but the wall paper and lighting was showing its age.
The seller understood, though they loved the bright lights! Per my request(!) they made a simple change. . .
Framing the mirror with trim and adding new fixtures really made an impact, even wth the same wallpaper! and she still has bright lights!
My friend Ginger Foust has an excellent series Sellers and Realtors: Staging Education, Part Five, Updating and she is absolutly correct! Here is another Before and After photo to show what some paint and a bit of sweat equity can do!
This seller LOVED their guest bathroom but understood not all buyers would appreciate it.

Some paint and elbow grease over the weekend. . .

As a seller, making these type of changes can make a big impact of how a buyer sees your property.

One Team One Vision Chapter of BNI (Business Network Int’l.) recently elected a new slate of members to its leadership team for the upcoming 1 year term. President will be Cristen Nolan, Costco Wholesale. Vice President will be Nicole Snyder, owner of Dynamic Video Creations. Secretary Treasurer will be Roberta Anderson, owner Anderson Homes Redesigned, LLC.
BNI is a business referrals organization that allows one person per profession to join its chapters.
“We have one handyman, one CPA, one chiropractor, and so on,” says incoming President Nolan. “Being a member of BNI creates a sales team for me that wouldn’t have otherwise.” Members keep an eye open during the week for new business contacts that might benefit other members. Meetings are held weekly, and referrals are exchanged in a very structured manner.
The membership fees have been paid for many times over the referrals I’ve received since joining a year ago,” says incoming Vice President Snyder “I could never have made all these contacts
by myself. Because I meet weekly with these business owners, they become my friends, and they really do focus on helping my business grow. That’s what we do for each other.”
Members of BNI carry each other’s business cards and will actually hand them out to someone who needs the services of one of the members. BNI was started over 20 years ago and has grown rapidly into the largest networking organization of its type. For more information on how to join BNI or just to visit, contact chapter President Cristen Nolan at 360.620.7968 Meetings are held every Wednesday 7:30 to 9am at Bay Pointe Retirement Community, 966 Oyster Bay Court Bremerton, WA 98312.
