Robert Monk Florida Real Estate

Towel Poodle discovered by Florida Real Estate Agent

Another strange animal discovered on a ship traveling down the Nile River. It seems harmless and didn't eat very much. Here in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, nor any other place I can recall visiting in America, I have never seen the towel toys. They are special and a friendly gesture from the personnel who make the beds and clean your room on trips to some countries. There was one creation which, unfortunately, I did not photograph. It was a crocodile made from bed sheets and bed covers. Another which I failed to photograph was a monkey hanging from the ceiling. They really worked hard for their tips.

Magnificent Sunsets across Choctawhatchee Bay near Sandestin and Destin, Florida

Ah.., how the sunsets change from one day to the next..! It’s all part of the beauty of Santa Rosa Beach, Destin, and Choctawhatchee Bay. These two photographs are one day apart, at approximately the same hour. This gives you an appreciation of how much and how quickly the skies change here in northwest Florida. Just two more reasons why we have so many visitors and why real estate has been so good here for the past few years. Even though we’re in a ‘slump’, Florida real estate will come back strong. It always does! The present is just a terrific buying time!

Sunset in late October, 2006, Gulf of Mexico, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459

Sunset in late October, 2006, over the Gulf of Mexico, in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459. This picture was taken soon after a hurricane had passed through. Damage to the Santa Rosa Beach, Miramar Beach, Sandestin, and Destin areas was minimal for the first of two hurricanes. The first hurricane removed much of the natural sand bar, and when the tidal thrust arrived from the second hurricane, considerable damage was done to roads and structures that were constructed too close to the beach waterline. Residents inland with waterfront property on the south side of Choctawhatchee Bay, were fortunate and little water damage occurred.

Kittens to a good home in Destin, Sandestin, or Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

A friend of ours has four kittens, 5-weeks old, 3 males and 1 female, in search of a happy home.

The kittens are somewhat arrogant and demand homes with only very wealthy owners who can afford to feed them salmon and caviar, and maintain their nails appropriately in the finest salons.

The kittens also insist on appropriate medical attention to include regular check-ups and vaccinations (meowch!).

However, following long discussions and multiple appeasements, the kittens have consented to share space with ordinary folks, the likes of us, provided they are assured of abundant love.

In return, they promise to return the love ten-fold.

The Crab Island Phenomenon - Destin, Florida

A view of Crab Island, Destin Bridge, and Destin Pass from Choctawhatchee Bay to the Gulf of Mexico. Locals and tourists often congregate here the entire weekend. Some even spend the nights in their boats. Certainly the stars are beautiful, or the moon - I'm sure it's fun and pleasant, I just have too much fondness for my mattress and my air conditioner.
