Hendersonville NC and Area Monthly Home Sales Statistics

NC-Hendersonville Website Banner

The strong buyers market continues with a lot of inventory for buyers to choose from including short sales and foreclosures. Sellers continue to adjust their prices for current market conditions and all prices are negotiable. The good news is that although inventory remains hefty it has come down with more properties closing. This is probably reflecting buyers taking advantage of the First Time Home Buyers Tax Credit which has now been been extended until April 2010 and includes a tax credit for qualifying home owners as well. The current market offers great opportunities and tax savings.

Buyers continue to be more active and serious in their looking. Especially popular are homes priced in the $200,000's to low $300,000's.

Hendersonville and Western NC is a beautiful area that has a lot to offer and if you are considering a real estate purchase it could be worth your while to come take a look while inventory remains plentiful and prices low. Why rent if you can purchase and take advantage of the tax benefits?

Flat Rock Playhouse - Flat Rock NC in the Hendersonville Area

Actor in PlayMy husband and I had the great pleasure and opportunity to attend Marty's El Paso at the Flat Rock Playhouse for the matinee performance on Saturday.

If you are a country/Western music fan and especially a fan of Marty Robbins you would enjoy this well presented production.

Jason Petty is the creator and director. He has previously portrayed the legendary pioneer, Hank Williams in "Last Highway" and then went on to win an Obie award for an off-broadway performance in 2003. He's done quite a bit since than. He and his musical crew provided several hours of great music and entertainment on a Saturday afternoon to a sold out audience who weren't dissapointed from my observations.

They will be here for one more week ending this Saturday and if you might be interested here's a link for ticket, etc information.

Just FYI: The Flat Rock Playhouse in Flat Rock, NC is North Carolina's State Theatre. It's located in the Historic Village of Flat Rock adjacent to Hendersonville. It is recognized for its professional performing company as well as its theatre training programs. The Flat Rock Playhouse is one of our areas gems and provides much pleasure to all who attend its performances.

For the Halloween season the next offering is "The Woman in Black" adapted by Stephen Malatratt. A scary encounter with a ghostly event that happened many years ago and continues to obsess a man. A Halloween perfect creation that still thrills London audiences after 19 years.

If this type of entertainment and enjoyment is for you take the time and check out the above link if you live nearby.

The $8.000 tax credit for first time home buyers would be beneficial for many who qualify. The current market offers great deals and it could be very worthwhile for the consumer to check with the financial folks to see how the tax breaks could benefit them in 2009 for tax purposes. No word as yet if the government will continue the credit into 2010.
