Henderson County is located in Western NC, covers a 375-square mile area and was incorporated in 1838. Per the 2004 census Henderson County's population was 96,124 and I suspect we have added more folks since than. The area is generally known as a destination location for many relocating families/retirees.
The five incorporated areas of Henderson County are the city of Hendersonville, the Village of Flat Rock, the Town of Fletcher, the Town Laurel Park and the Town of Mills River.
The county sits 2,200 feet above sea level and is surrounded by the Great Smokies and the Blue Ridge Mountains. You will find 4 distinct, generally mild seasons (of course there are always exceptions.) Summertime not only finds many tourists but a plethoria of summer residents fleeing the Florida summer heat and enjoying the mountains and all they have to offer -- beauty and lots of outdoor recreation for all ages.

Hi from Hendersonville and the beautiful Western NC mountain area. If you are visiting or considering the Hendersonville area for relocation and would like information I'd be proud to provide it.
My husband and I relocated to the Hendersonville and Asheville area in Western NC in 1998. We are fifth generation Floridians but when visiting we fell in love with the beautiful mountains, change of seasons, small town feel, ambiance and friendliness of the Hendersonville area community. Western NC has so much to offer and we plan on calling this home for a long time. My husband Mike is a licensed building contractor and licensed Home Inspector with ASHI. I find him an invaluable asset when I have questions over structural, etc. issues.
I received my BSBA marketing degree from Western NC University and have previously worked in the architectural/construction industry for many years. This background has been very beneficial to me in conducting my real estate business. I'm proud to say that in my first year as a REALTOR I was a Multi-Million Dollar Producer and have continued the trend. I have since obtained my Broker license and the National Association of REALTORs e-Pro (internet savvy) Certification to help me better serve our on line clients and customers.
