Rate of Motion athletes took their first step toward competing in the States Games of America in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 2009 by competing in the 2008 Georgia Games.
Kevin Gary and Roogery Rosemberg competed in the 400M.
Kevin Gary, Chris Abrams, Clarissa Williams competed in the 100M and 200M and Clarissa placed 4th in the 100 and set a personal record at 12.79. She also placed 3rd in the 200M with a PR of 26.6, congratulations.
Quandra Shanks competed in the 200M, 400M, 800M and long jump. Quandra placed 4th in the 400M and 1st place in the 800M with a time 2:22.00. She also placed 6th in the long jump with a jump of 13', great job Quandra.
Rate of Motion will finish out its summer season debute with a trip to Tallahasse, Florida to compete in the Southeast Sports Festival on Aug 2-3.
We will have an awards banquet in early August and beginning preparing for the 2009 indoor season which begins in January.
Great first season and looking forward to having the group back together with a few new faces for the indoor season.
