This year the cost will be $25 for one, $35 for two and $40 for three or more children from the same family. All youth who live in Laconia from grades 1 - 12 are invited to register.

The Bedford, NH recreation department is again sponsoring a Mens Over 30 Basketball League for 2008/09. Two leagues are anticipated, one competetive and one recreational style. To be elegible to participate you must be at least 30 years old, be a resident of Bedford, NH and register by October 13th. Saturday Sept 20th the annual Bedford Olde Town Day is scheduled. This tradition will continue rain or shine from 10am to 3pm at the Riley Field Complex located at the corner of Nashua and County Roads. Many great events are planned: Pony Rides for the kids, the Police silent auction, entertainment and talent shows, dodge-ball games for all ages and plenty of food and fun for all. New Hampshire residential sale prices in August 2008 are lower by 2 percent from August 2007 statewide with 4 percent less number of homes sold. Specifically in Hillsborough county home prices are down 1% from last year with 6% less number of homes sold. Not bad considering what is happening to the rest of the country!
