With the addition of several thousand new residents a year moving into Davidson County with it changes the way crime stats should be viewed. With the increase in people comes the increase in crime. Although just recently the East Nashville stats has shown a decrease in crime stats this past year. Kudos to our new mayor Karl Dean and his new approach to the city and it's basis for new development. Schools are becoming an important part of the system and with those changes so will crime decrease.
