I thought that social networking was overwhelming until I received some instruction from Dave Hall at Listing Solutions,Inc. He recently tought a class at the board of realtors and also at my Exit Realty Office about social networking,blogging,Youtube videos , and much more. The whole process seems much easier than anticipated for a technologically challenged person like me. I now know how to add links to my blog, videos, customize photostory slideshows, and much more. I thought This was too advanced for me to do.,however I have made it a part of my daily networking for my Real Estate business in St.Augustine, Florida. If anyone else needs some help in these areas I suggest you talk to Dave Hall at Listing Solutions for some easy to follow instructions.

I am happy to announce that Dave Hall of Listing Solutions,Inc. is teaching a social networking class at the St.Augustine Board of Realtors next month. He will be teaching the basics of Facebook, Twitter, Blogging , and much more. I plan to attend this class as I think it will be very informative and current with today's marketing trends. Dave tought a class at my Exit office for Realtors over the summer that was on these topics and my agents loved it.

According to the U.S. News and World Report, St. Augustine was named in the top ten places to live in the United States.The list included places with a lower cost of living, strong economy, and a variety of interesting activities available. The article cites the nation's oldest city's charm, fishing,golf,and quality of the schools. In fact 3 of the high schools in the St.Augustine area were named in the top 6% in the nation. Once again this reinforces what a great place we live in!

I am a Realtor® in the nation's oldest city, St. Augustine, Florida. I have a shortsale listed in Moultrie Fourside, it is currently listed at $249,000. Three years ago this home would have sold for over $500,000.00. It is unbelievable how real estate in St. Augustine has changed over the past few years. It made me realize how fortunate homebuyers are today, with the combination of low housing prices and interest rates below 5% on average. I have been selling real estate in St. Augustine for over 20 years. I have never seen the amount of inventory that buyers currently have at their disposal. The prices are just incredible! When you look at our year round, warm temperatures and proximity to the coast, St. Augustine is truly a paradise to live in. If you are currently looking to buy a home in the St. Augustine area, call me. These deals will not last long. The funny thing about the bottom of a market is you never know it is the bottom...until it is too late!

I just completed a six week class at the Board of Realtors on Excel. It was very informative and the instructor was great. I was a little overwhelmed at first because of my challenged computer skills, but I quickly caught on. The reason I initially signed up for the class is that we started a virtual tour and web design company. I needed to be able to keep track of sales, expenses, etc. My sister told me the best way to do this in a simple way was an Excel spreadsheet. I thought ok, what am I supposed to do? My partner told me to call the BOR and find out when the next Excel class started. It happened to be a couple weeks later. I think all local Realtors should take advantage of the education opportunities at the Board of Realtors. It was only $10 per class for professional instruction. I am now the Excel Queen...just kidding! However, I know enough to do the books and have a good knowledge of the process. I am signing up for more classes soon. I think the extra computer skills will be great for my Real Estate business, as well as, the Virtual Tour Company.
