Read an article that said that "at risk homeowners" who are looking for government assistance to help remodify their loan will be given an incentive if they pay on time. They would receive up to $5,000 reduction in principal over five years. Servicers of mortages would also get some sort of incentive. Does anyone have more information. Would appreciate any facts.
