If you would like to see all three of your credit scores, you will want to do so quickly - they may not be available in the same model after Feb. 14 if an agreement is not reached by the three credit reporting agencies: Experian, TransUnion and Equifax.

According to this report, beginning in April:

• Equifax will be providing scores to businesses based on the new model;
• TransUnion will provide scores based on the current model;
• Experian scores won't be available to consumers unless they actually make application for financing and PAY for their lender to access the Experian score.

Now as much as I detest the entire credit reporting set-up, it is a fact of life that we have to deal with.

Based on her knowledge of property law, and the realization that almost all homeowners do not have legal representation, Congresswoman Kaptur suggests those in foreclosure stay in their homes.

If you are facing foreclosure, don't just accept what the paperwork says. You can fight foreclosure, even if you have lost your job. Please contact your local bar association found in the yellow pages and get legal aid.

Congresswoman Kaptur says the banks are like vultures...they have received bailout money, but she points out homeowners are not getting help.

Dear Reader,

If you are having a hard time staying positive amidst all the negative news, scary tales from work, and horror stories from friends...if you are watching the trends and seeing things go from bad to worse...may I make a suggestion?

Turn off the news. For a few hours, anyway!

Hide out on lunch breaks.

Start selling something MLM so your "friends" will run the other way when they see you coming.

Associate with positive, like-minded individuals online and in-person.

Invite someone positive to lunch or dinner.

Call a positive person and thank them for lifting your spirits.

Listen to a motivational speaker, like Joel Osteen.

Read something positive from Scriptures.

Count your blessings - yep, I went there!

Do a check-up from the neck-up on yourself - are you being positive?

Staying positive in this day and age takes courage and fortitude.

Do you have what it takes? If not, you can get it.

2009 is great for some people already. Will you be in this group of greatness? It is your choice.
