Many months ago when Kristin Moran and I opened our own RE/MAX ACCESS office in Garden Ridge, Texas we noticed (as others did) that unfortunately advertisers were no longer advertising. You saw it everywhere, blank billboards, print ads were smaller or not as frequent and with that online grew even more. We saw that as an opportunity. Yes, an opportunity for us.

We had been watching these billboards down our street on FM 2252 and all of a sudden they were blank. What happened to the advertisers I thought? They had pulled out. I noticed phone numbers advertising for the billboard space, but in the back of my mind I kept thinking "where is the budget for that?" Although I knew that it would be a great opportunity to promote our office location, agents and website.

A couple of weeks went by and I received a friendly call from a gal that actually owned the billboards. I have never been known to "beat around the bush" and my first words out of my mouth were, "thanks for calling, but I know it's out of my budget". After chatting with her and Kristin we decided that this was an opportunity for our office to help get our name out there and continue with the RE/MAX branding...So, guess what went up today?

Leslee Martz has recently joined RE/MAX Access in Garden Ridge, Texas.

Leslee has been with RE/MAX since moving to Texas in 2004. She currently holds the CRS, Accredited Luxury Home Specialist and International Real Estate Specialist designations. Before moving to Texas, Leslee was publisher/editor of Ozark Life Magazine in Bentonville, Arkansas. Her referral base networking allows her to work Commercial, Residential and Farm & Ranch properties throughout surrounding counties.

I have personally known Leslee for the since she came to Texas. I find her to be insightful, tenacious, and sharp, but most importantly always striving to provide the best experience for her clients during the transaction.

Stoney Creek Ranch, New Ulm, Texas

Last week we dropped off the kids for their first every week long camp. It was in New Ulm, Texas. Err, I had to look that one up. About 2 hours west of Houston if that helps!

It's beautiful, filled with pine trees, the air is crisp and clean.

We pulled into the big impressive gates and were greated by counselors that asked if they could take the boys' bags. Huh? I looked at my kids and said, "when I went to camp, we had to drag our overpacked bags to our mosquito infested, screened in hut that had one bare bulb in the middle of the room that had about 12 bunk beds."....no, joke. This is my equivelent to my Mom's "had to walk through the snow to get to school story"....but her's is true!

The lodge is even more spectacular. I was looking at my husband asking him "why are we not staying at this resort ourselves?". The cabins that the boys slept in were river stone "ranch style" that boasted of AIR CONDITIONING! Wow, talk about living it up!
