This is the 21st annual Labor Day weekend event, which features 24 rib cooks vying for the title as well as $14,500 in total prize money.
The event also features live music from national and regional acts, cooking demonstrations, craft booths and a rib-eating contest featuring professional competitive eaters.
500,000 plus people are expected at this year's event, which draws a fair amount of Reno-Sparks residents as well as tourists getting in a final summer event. Admission is free, food and drink for sale. Located on Victorian Square.
