Do You Notice Something Funny in the Picture?

A group of jet skiers (about 14) decided to ride from the south dam to the north dam on Lake Norman. Once we made it up the Catawba River to the north dam, we were able to get out and stand on the rocky bottom, but the current was really strong and was pushing us back south. We decided to make this a pit stop and relax and take pictures. It was really cool seeing the cows and bull (earlier post) on the side of the lake, drinking some water.
It's very rural up in these parts. MAP: Somwhere on the map in Catawba county near the dam to Lake Lookout Shoals.
If you are a current blog reader of mine, then you know how I loooove to jet ski on Lake Norman! If you are interested in buying a jet ski at the end of the season for a GREAT price, then you are reading the right blog!
I have a close friend who is selling one of his toys. It's a very clean, 2008 Sea doo RXPX. $9,500

Still under factory warranty until March 2010. This is THE FASTEST jet ski on Lake Norman. 76.4mph on GPS. The ski was modified by PURR Performance in Denver NC. It has an aftermarket air intake, aftermarket prop that was trued by “The Prop Gods”, aftermarket intake grate, trued hull, rideplate holes filled, Rotax Racing thermostat, aftermarket splash guard, aftermarket pump wedge, exhaust resonator delete, and many other “Little” things that make it go 76mph.
Never raced, or been off lake Norman. Have the title in hand and the ski also comes with a “learning key” that limits the speed. The ski has 85 hrs and comes with all the parts to put it back to stock. There is no trailer. $9,500.00

Gotta explain this one! This is one of my friends taking a little relaxing nap on the ski while we float down the catawba river on Lake Norman. LMAO

My friend Tom runs this group in the Lake Norman area for singles players and busy people. It's more fun with a big group and the fall is the coolest time to play! You can even start as a beginner player, you just need to brush up on the USTA rules online first!
