Birth of Charlotte Wine Club - Charlotte NC things to do

charlotte wine club www.CharlotteWineClub.com

"CWC" - This Is A Group For Wine & Cheese Enthusiasts In The Charlotte NC Area. Meet Educated People Who Like Tasting New Wine Or Would Like To Know More About Wine and Artisanal Cheeses.

Charlotte Wine Group is open to every prospective member who wants to discover, discuss and share his/her passion. We meet a few times a month to discover new wine, new countries, new varieties, and meet new wine enthusiasts.

Members are encouraged to take advantage of scheduled wine tastings at local Charlotte venues. Support Local Businesses by buying the wines you like at the venues -sometimes at a special discounted price for the group only!

All members are responsible for paying their own "TAB" or "BILL" at any event for the wine that they drink or taste. Attending most wine events is usually charged by the venue and the fee is disclosed up front.

We are tasting and serving wine for the benefit of our members because we share the same passion.

Novices? No problem. We have a ton of cool organizers that will be there to greet you and explain how it works. You will learn from the best! Join dozens of members who go from novice to connoisseurs in a month. But be careful the wine bug is powerful.

To join the club, you only need to do one thing, fill out your profile questions at www.charlottewineclub.com .
Only members with a complete profile will be approved.

Richard Gruica aka Foodzilla, founder of Good Eats & Meets (the largest NC dining group), a former chef and forever Foodie. Food has always been a part of Richard. His grandparents had over a dozen restaurants in Croatia and his uncle had the top French restaurant in South Florida. His father was always cooking up something in the kitchen which eventually got the best of Richard. Instead of choosing a path in law, he pulled a 180 and went to culinary school instead. Queen's Landing - Catawba Queen Sightseeing and Lunch Lake Norman Cruises

If you are new to the area or you have been here but haven't been able to get on the Lake, then this is the event for you. Daily cruises and sightseeing tours with lunch are offered by The Catawba Queen in Mooresville, NC. Click here for full information, ticket prices, and times.

I've been on this cruise a couple times and it's really fun. I learned new things both times. The captain narrates and navigates the catawba river chain (lake norman) and you get to see a ton of shoreline. The lunch is pretty decent (2 hot dogs plate) but your drink, sodas, etc. is cash bar. The ticket is $12.50 for adult for just the tour or $19.50 for tour and lunch. I try to get all newcomers to the area to do this tour because it shows you just how big Lake Norman really is!
