We are having a Tasting at The Wine Dive in Mooresville on a Thursday night at 7pm, 2/17/11. Here is the The Wine Dive Menu
4 Wines will be tasted and poured for only $10, and the wine representative will be on hand for descriptions and/or questions! There will also be a cheese and cracker platter for the group to munch on.
If you love the wines, you can get a discount when you buy it by the bottle too!
Also, on Thursdays they have BEER specials too! It is $2 draft beer nite(all 23 drafts).
The Wine Dive offers over 40 wines by the glass! It will be cash bar and you are responsible for your own tab. They do have a great menu if you are still hungry! Read all the details about the meetup venue below!~~~

This is the latest addition to wine bars in the Lake Norman area! The Wine Dive is the first business together for Thor Chitow and his wife, Kat. Thor Chitow is a South Florida native who has worked in bars and restaurants for about 20 years.

The Wine Dive offers over 40 wines by the glass and they offer over 200 bottles of wine! There are also 23 Beers on tap! Their menu is amazing and their will be plenty of free appetizers to share and name tags.
And......surprise - All house wines will be priced at $3 a glass for our group on this night also!
Some appetizers at The Wine Dive include: hummus, smoked fish dip, port wine cheese spread, spinach dip, and much more!
They also have a solid wood custom built pool table($1 a game)
They have a lounge nook for small groups and a patio that overlooks a marina with outstanding sunsets!!

We'll be enjoying a fabulous tasting at the Ol' Corkscrew in Birkdale Village, enjoying some wine and cheese, and good friends' company. This wine tasting will consist of 4-5 wines for $10 cash along with a small table full of goodies like cheese, crackers, fuit, and cake. You don't necessarily have to do the tasting to come and partake in the wine drinking either! There will be specials by the glass on reds, beers, and more.
It's the same as always -- only a $10 CASH charge. This event is so popular that we often get about 40-60 attendees. In early March, the weather is starting to warm up, so I imagine that our group will be larger this time and overtake their patio area!
Joe Klosek , the manager at the Corkscrew often hand picks the selection for us and members have been very happy in the past meetups! If you are interested in ordering some bottles of wines after the tasting, the lovely staff will be able to arrange that for you as well.
Please remember to bring cash. Pay and receive your name tag. There will also be specials by the glass and bottle if you prefer to not do the tasting, or if you would like a glass after you've sampled the wines.
Please be responsible. Don't drink and drive. If you need a cab or a designated driver to drive your car home for you, we can easily arrange that as well!

It's the event we've all been waiting for since this new restaurant opened last year! I've had numerous requests from the members, so here we go...... We are checking out the new, upscale restaurant in the heart of downtown Davidson, called "FlatIron Kitchen & Taphouse"! We will have tastes of 5 wines with some small passed appetizers for $15 on Wednesday February 23rd from 8pm-10pm. FlatIron will also have their regular promo going on which is $6 select glasses of wine and $20 select wine bottles along with a late night half off food menu for those sitting at the bar. We are looking forward to this event! You will pay the bartender or server upon arriving and receive your glass and name tag.
