I just did a post on some of the outrageously priced residential real estate listing in the Fraser Valley. These are the most expensive, as I did not consider bare land or listings that have redevelopment potential. Simply houses you can live in. Here is a link to the post:
Fraser Valley luxury real estate
Look at that $13 M house in Abbotsford, almost 45000 sq.ft. and has more than 50 rooms. Just wow!
I have just launched a new site focussed on the condo market in the Fraser Valley. This site is based on Joomla and uses the "chromatophore" theme from rockettheme.com. This site is by no means complete but it got crawled somehow while in development and I had to launch it earlier than I wanted to.
This is my first attempt at design (although it is a template) and coding entirely. So far I am loving Joomla. It may be bit of an overkill for a simple blog (Wordpress rules at that) but for a dynamic, content rich site Joomla in my mind is the best CMS out there.
Vist the site at www.fraservalleycondos.ca and let me know what you think.
I have been wanting to give live blogging from an open house a try. I think it is a really neat way to document what you did to promote the property, to show the seller how hard you are working and to document the interest your efforts has generated. I am live blogging from 21463 92B Ave in Langley. It is a 1700 sq. ft. home, absolutely gorgeous, totally renovated (except for the main washroom upstairs). You can tell that the owners have taken very good care of it. It is also priced very attractively at $489,900. Gorgeous kitchen and that island is huge, the biggest I've ever seen.

In Feb, 2008, the Fraser Valley real estate market saw a 30% increase in inventory when compared to same time last year. There were a total of 8,185 homes for sale this year, compared to 6,304 last year. The prices are also on their way up but are being outpaced by the feverish increase in inventory levels.
Sales in the Fraser Valley were down when compared to the same time last year, 615 compared to 671 last year. This decrease in sales is keeping the prices in check and we will see only a moderate increase in prices this year.

What to consider when selling a home in a buyer's market. With the Fraser Valley real estate market moving from a seller's market to a buyer's market, it is taking longer for homes to sell and fewer are selling. This is causing a downward pressure on home sales. Learn how to quickly sell you home in such conditions.
