Clifton

Located in the north-central part of Cincinnati, Clifton was first incorporated as a village in 1850. During the nineteenth century, Clifton was developed with large mansions by some of the city's leading businessmen.

In 1896, Cincinnati annexed the city of Clifton and the University of Cincinnati relocated to Burnet Woods Park. Today, the University dominates the area and many of the local businesses support the student community.

Many of the side streets surrounding the Ludlow Business District are lit using original gas lamps and is known today locally as the Gaslight District.

Today, Clifton is a community driven neighborhood with an active community council that coordinates special events in the area.

Camp Washington

Camp Washington was established in 1846. The neighborhood's name was coined because it was the original location of the muster and drill grounds for the first and second regiment of the Ohio Volunteers.

Since hosting the first Ohio State Fair in 1850, Camp Washington has grown into a vibrant area with an active community council. With it's convenient central location between Downtown and Western Hills it's a transportation link to I 75 and I 74.

In the June 2007 issue of Cincinnati Magazine, Camp Washington was named as a neighborhood on the verge and made the magazine's list of 10 Best Places to Live.
