My family and I recently visited a brand new park in Suwanee GA that is absolutely fantastic! The newly opened Sims Lake Park is situated on Suwanee Dam Road just a few miles west off of Peachtree Industrial Blvd on 62 Acres of land at the intersection of Suwanee Dam Rd and Tench Rd. We have a 17 month old daughter who loves being outdoors and playing with other kids on the jungle gyms and slides, and fortunately for us, Sims Lake Park has all of those things and more. If you want to enjoy an afternoon picnic or entertain your kids for a birthday party there is a Covered Pavillion with lots of open tables. Let your kids enjoy the open playground area that is fortunately for my child...fenced in. They have two huge jungle gyms, one that is suitable for kids 1-3 years of age, and another that is larger in size more suitable for kids 4 years of age on up. Throw the frisbee or football on the open grassy meadows, or just sit and relax under a tree. My daughter loved the stream of water that leads down to the gorgeous open aired lake. If you want to power walk, jog, ride your bike or skate, you can enjoy the 1.2 miles of widely paved trails that encircle the lake and park. We will definitely be visiting this park in the upcoming months and hope to see you there.
