The 14th Annual Virginia-Highland's Home for the Holidays Tour features six, beautiful homes and food samplings from six neighborhood restaurants including MetroFresh, Noni's, shorty's, la Tavola, Vine and Atkins Park. This year's tour will feature a silent auction of a major work from local artist and painter, Tracy Sharp. All proceeds from this event benefit the Virginia-Highland Civic Association and go toward the pending acquisition of the former Fulton County Library lots at the corner of North Highland and St. Charles for a new neighborhood park.

The 26th annual Decatur Holiday Candlelight Tour of Homes will feature eight, beautiful homes and four points of interest including the Clairemont Elementary Marketplace, The Village Vets, Renewal Construction and Lampe Farley Communications. This year's theme, Living Green, focuses on homes renovated using green materials and techniques. There will be FREE shuttle bus going from home to home.

Proceeds from the tour benefit the Decatur Youth Fund and the Decatur Preservation Alliance. Advanced tickets are $20.00 and can purchased from merchants around Decatur. You can also buy tickets at the door for $25.00.

This year's tour is dedicated to the memory of Ruth Golley. Ruth was a local volunteer and supporter of the tour. She was also a well respected Realtor and Broker/Co-Owner of Golley Realtor Group. Ruth will be missed in the Decatur community.

The 7th Annual It's A Wonderful House Tour of Homes offers a spectacular look into three of the most exquisite homes in the Chateau Élan community. Each home is fully and professionally decorated for the holidays and staffed with hostesses to welcome each and every visitor. Shuttles to the tour homes depart the Chateau Élan Winery approximately every 15 minutes and transport the tour guests to each of the homes on tour. In addition to the decorated homes, the tour also includes the Silver Sleigh Café and Corner Shoppe.

The designer showhouse will be open the following weekend, November 28-30, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. for an encore presentation.

Tour tickets are $25 each, and all proceeds benefit The Gwinnett Children's Shelter. The Gwinnett Children's Shelter is a private, nonprofit organization that provides for the needs of abused and abandoned children in our community. Through the Tour of Homes, the Chateau Élan homeowners are opening their homes to the public while opening their hearts to children in need.
